We left Bantayan Island early in the morning to catch the earliest schedule of the ferry back to Cebu City. We specifically picked an evening schedule for our flight back to Manila since we wanted to take a short Cebu City tour before we left.
There are a number of tourist spots worth exploring in Cebu, but we specifically wanted to see Magellan’s Cross and Taoist Temple. The two destinations are far from each other, so we just took a cab and made a deal with the driver to take us to both places, wait for us as we explore them, and bring us to the famous pasalubong site in the city before we head to the airport, which is also miles away from the city itself.
I’ll let the pictures do the talking so you’ll know what’s in store for you when you visit the two tourist destinations.
Magellan’s Cross
![Unfortunately, the cross had wooden braces during our visit because it was under construction during the time; it was damaged by Typhoon Yolanda.](https://wanderworldbyjan.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/cebu-city-magellans-cross.jpg?w=512&h=768)
![Candle vendors would instantly greet you in the area. The candle symbolizes various things: love, career, health, etc. The vendor will chant a prayer for you if you buy the candles.](https://wanderworldbyjan.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/magellans-cross-candles-cebu-city.jpg?w=1024&h=681)
